The India Middle East Europe Corridor / The Bahrain Land Bridge September 2026

The Bab al-Mandab blockade (late 2023) forced global container carriers to detour around the Cape of Good Hope, adding weeks of transit and exposing vulnerabilities in worldwide supply chains. This disruption highlighted the critical need for a resilient, diversified corridor linking Asia, India and the GCC to Europe.

Stage 1: Operational Launch (January 24)

A fully functioning land bridge was launched, leveraging aligned infrastructure and cross-border cooperation across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Israel. Activity included:

Stage 2: Full Containerization (June 25)

In partnership with a global carrier, Cabynda introduced the first fully containerized IMEC service (dry + reefer), demonstrated successfully in June 2025. This validated the corridor's (a) Resilience (b) Commercial scalability and (c) Viability as a Suez alternative

Stage 3: THE solution to the closure of the straits of Hormuz (February 26)

Disruption is accelerating; innovation & creative, out-of-the-box solutions are no longer optional—they're essential. Cabynda is implementing and materializing years of experience in order to seamlessly execute containerized shipments between the GCC<>Europe (West and East bound) since the closure of the Straits of Hormuz for dry and temperature-controlled cargo.
